Tyrone Thompson Elementary School is an upcoming facility for the Mountain Edge community in Nevada. The new school will relieve overcrowding and address anticipated enrollment needs for surrounding schools by providing 53 classrooms. Helix's scope of work for the project includes installation of switchgear/distribution, LED lighting with lighting controls, school flashers, dry utilities, teledata, fire alarm, CCTV, intercom system, A/V and intrusion detection. Superintendent Ray Koltas is proud of the project, stating, “you get a sense of pride when you complete a project that will have a lasting community impact.”

The Expo at World Market Center is an upcoming 335,405 square foot building with 195,000 square feet of assembly space for conventions, trade shows and other events. The facility will replace the three large tents and commercial kitchen area currently in use. For the project, Helix is installing (3) 15KV to 480V substations; 60 switchboards and panelboards; (46) 480V to 120/208V transformers; and 217 large convention center floor boxes with 100A feeds and 6-strand fiber to each.
