Cubic Corporation provides diversified systems and services to the defense and transportation markets. The company began in San Diego, but is now a global organization with offices in the Middle-East, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
The upcoming headquarters on Cubic's existing San Diego campus will house office and dry lab space in 250,000 square feet. The facility will also have a full-service café, fitness center and a basketball court. Upon completion, the project will create 1,500 new jobs in San Diego.
The project is design-build with 12kV overhead conversion. Project Engineer Manny Gonzalez is excited to be involved on this project, stating, "It’s a fantastic opportunity to work with a cutting edge owner that is developing technologies for global deployment. Cubic is working on really cool systems - test antennas, space balloons, 400hz equipment, contactless payments, metropolitan transit finance, virtual warfare training and stuff they can’t tell us about.
