Treating more than 219,000 children from around the world each year, Children's National Hospital is the premier provider of pediatric services in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Focus areas of the hospital include neuroscience, genetics, clinical and translational science and cancer and immunology. Now, The hospital is expanding its life-saving pediatric research for children by remodeling four campus buildings that date back to the 1950s.

Helix 's scope of work involves installation of new power distribution; telecom/security conduits; light fixtures; fire alarm system; site, theater and landscape lighting; lighting control and protection; a 2000kw generator; and new electrical/communication duct banks.

Project Manager Marcus Ferenc is proud of Team Helix members for overcoming the project's many challenges. Although a difficult project, Ferenc says the work and the team's success is rewarding.
