I could not speak your language I did not know your rules. Everything felt foreign to an alien at school.

Those days are long gone now, though I thought they’d never end. Now I have no problems speaking English, making friends. Dark and haunting memories of loneliness and fear, frustration and confusion have begun to disappear. But one thing I’ll remember, one thing will stay the same. the moment that you smiled at me and called me by my name.
