USA bak fasaden USA BEHIND THE SCENES USA er fortsatt verdens ledende stormakt – økonomisk, militært og kulturelt. Men hva skjer egentlig bak fasaden i «The Greatest Nation On Earth»? De siste årene har politiske bølger fra USA skylt over verden. Det politiske klimaet, og ikke minst etterspillet etter presidentvalget i 2020, har vist oss et land som er dypt splittet. Med programmet USA bak fasaden utforsker vi sentrale trekk som rasemotsetninger, klasse og politisk ideologi. Men vi håper også å få fram mer subtile tendenser i et land som alltid har vært preget av steile fronter.

Though many people talk about an American decline, the USA still firmly remains the world’s leading power – militarily, economically, and not least culturally. Political waves from the US, be it the MeToo movement or Black Lives Matters, spread all over the world. And yet, the last years, and particularly the aftermath of the recent presidential election, have shown a nation in deep turmoil.
