CSA Mine is one of Australia’s longest operating copper mines with a history stretching back almost 150 years. At 1.9 kilometers deep, CSA is the second deepest copper mine in Australia and the third highest copper grade in the world. Located near the NSW town of Cob ar, CSA Mine employs around 550 people and produces approximately 40,000 tonnes of copper concentrate per year. The ore is mined and processed on site and then transported by rail 700km to the Port of Newcastle for export. CSA Mine was acquired by Metals Acquisition Limited in June 2023.

Our four-year Apprenticeship Program consists of on-the-job practical learning at CSA Mine and off-site training with TAFE New South Wales. To develop your skills and deliver the best possible learning outcomes you will rotate through multiple department areas in order to gain exposure to a variety of environments. Conditions and Benefits All apprenticeships are offered on a residential basis – rosters may vary depending on the area. 12 weeks of free transit accommodation is provided to assist the successful applicant to source their own accommodation locally.
