Super Vets claim Bill Bartlett Memorial golf trophy

A field of 28 players contested the Bill Bartlett Memorial Four-Ball-Best-Ball Stableford golf day on Saturday.
Super Vets John Collins and Will Brown combined well to win decimating the rest of the field with their score of 49 stableford points.
Chris Powell and Scott McKenzie finished second on 44 stableford points.
Stewart and Mark Fraser came in with 43 stableford points beating Scott Mayne and Bian Smith on a countback for third place.
In 5th place was the team of Jason Foster and Michael Bannister on 42 stableford points.
In the individual competition, Collins won with the best score of 40 stableford points, one shot clear of McKenzie on 39 stableford points.
Nearest to the Pin prizes were won by Mark Fraser on the 3rd hole, Stewart Fraser on the
7th, Bill Fugar (8th), Steve Manns (11th) and Will Brown claimed the prize on the 15th hole.
On Sunday a Stableford was contested for the Monthly Medal competition.
Bill Fugar, playing on one leg, held off Piers Brown.
Fugar finished on 38 stableford points, one shot ahead of Brown.
Cobar was represented by Peter ‘China’ Brien at the Narromine Veterans Golf day last Thursday.

China’ finished with 37 stableford points, one shot behind the winner in Division One, taking third place on a countback.
This Saturday the Mixed Foursome Championships will be held (10am tee off) and a Four-Ball-Worst-Ball game will be contested on Sunday.
The Cobar Men’s and Ladies’ Vets Open will be contested next Friday. Three Aces
