INNOVATION HUB. Renovations are now underway in the Lower F Wing of Timmins campus, that will produce an immersive experiential learning, entrepreneurial, research and commercialization space called the Innovation Hub. The Innovation Hub will be mining technology and adaptation centric with a mandate to produce highly qualified personnel and business improvement solutions. This will include the development of over 23,000 sq.ft of shop space, including a manufacturing shop, prototyping lab, core logging and exploration shop, virtual reality lab, and an alternative energy lab.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SPACE â—ź 8 shops (carpentry, mining exploration, welding, manufacturing, prototyping, alternate energy, mining simulation, virtual reality) to be utilized for technology development, research, and training. â—ź Students engaged in research get to work with industry partners to find solutions to their technological needs.
