Get Outside

Ah, the great outdoors. As Canadians, we pride ourselves in the vast beauty that is the Canadian experience, with endless kilometres of fresh-water lakes, rivers, forests and mountains. We love the idea of a life lived in postcard perfect nature. Well, consider this your ‘greetings from northeastern Ontario’ moment because there are literally hundreds of reasons to get outside and get moving at Northern College. Besides being steps away from endless raw wilderness and beauty, our catchment region is home to 12 provincial parks, countless private campgrounds, abundant free crown land camping opportunities and millions of reasons to explore them all. Lakes and rivers are a common sight throughout and between our towns and catchment region, providing plenty of opportunities for canoeing, kayaking and of course fishing. So grab a friend and whatever floatation device you’ve got handy and hit the pristine water! Regardless of the season, northeastern Ontario has something exhilarating for you to experience, including skiing, hiking, four-wheeling, skidooing (even in town). The list goes on – but it’s a lot easier for us to show you. .
