Our Veterinary Sciences programs offer programming that can help you provide exceptional care for domestic, laboratory and farm animals. Our programs provide hands-on experience in the classroom, where you will provide care for animals in preparation for their adoption at the end of the school year.

The 10,000 square foot Veterinary Sciences Centre is a state-of-the-art facility featuring labs, equipment, a surgery suite, animal grooming area, an underwater treadmill and animal living facilities. The area of Veterinary Sciences provides you flexible learning options to meet your personal and career aspirations.

The Veterinary Technology – Wildlife Rehabilitation advanced diploma and Companion Animal Physical Rehabilitation graduate certificate programs are the only ones of their kind in Canada.

Our programs are designed to give you an extensive amount of practice and real-world experience. Many of our students earn more than one credential so they develop a well-rounded skill set and graduate as versatile, adaptable veterinary science professionals. HIGHLIGHTS

A limited number of spots in the Veterinary Technician program are available for graduates of Northern College’s Veterinary Assistant or Animal Grooming programs.

Graduates of those programs that wish to apply to the Veterinary Technician programs must have – in addition to the usual requirements for direct entry from high school – a 75 per cent minimum average (3.0 GPA) upon graduation from Veterinary Assistant or Animal Grooming programs. Applicants will be assessed according to highest academic achievement in their program.

Many of our Veterinary Sciences programs are highly competitive. In order to be considered for admission, applicants must apply on or before the Equal Consideration Date of February 1.
