体育祭（アスレチック・デー） 10月12日、爽やかな秋の日に毎年恒例の体育祭が開催されま した。体育祭は、学校全体の結びつきを強くすることを目指すイベ ントです。年度が始まってすぐに行われるということもあり､生徒 にとって、学年を越えた交流の出来る良い機会となっています。 生徒はまず、開会式が行われる体育館に集まりました。体育祭 実行委員から体育祭の概要が説明された後、生徒が体育祭のた めに制作したビデオ作品が披露されたり、準備体操が行われたり しました。その後、リレーや玉入れ、熱気あふれる綱引きなど、様 々な競技を、生徒も、教員も、そして職員も一日中楽しみました。 特にこの日のハイライトとなったのは、応援合戦です。各チームに 与えられたパフォーマンスの時間は10 分。どのチームも練りに 練ったパフォーマンスを披露し、たくさんの時間をかけて準備して きたことがよく伝わってきました。音楽、ダンス、寸劇を複雑に組 み合わせたパフォーマンスに、学生らしい熱意や気迫が感じられ ました。閉会式では優勝チームが紹介され、最後は全員でアイス クリームを食べて、楽しいひとときを過ごしました。
Athletic Day It was a crisp autumn day on October 11, as the students gathered for the annual Athletic Day. The goal of the event is to unite the wider school community. Positioned at the beginning of the year, Athletic Day is an opportunity for students to develop personal relationships across grade levels. In the morning, the students gathered in the gym for the Opening Ceremony. The short introduction included details from student leaders, a video montage, and a brief opportunity for everyone to stretch. Students, faculty, and staff enjoyed themselves throughout the day in a wide assortment of activities including relay races, ball tosses, and the ever competitive tug of wars. The highlight of the day was the cheering competition. Each team was allotted approximately ten minutes to perform a routine set to music. The group cheers were highly choreographed, as it was apparent that each team had spent hours preparing in the weeks leading up to the competition. The intricate performances combined music, dance, and storytelling together in a way that harnessed all of the enthusiasm and spirit that the students had to offer. During the Closing Ceremony, the judges announced the winning teams. Athletic Day concluded with the entire student body enjoying a special ice cream social in the cafeteria!
