“Love is patience…” I Corinthians 13:4. We are created for fellowship with God and each other. That’s why separation from others, or solitude has always been a source of punishment. Relationships can be the source of our greatest pleasure or our greatest pain. Problems rooted in relationships are the most common issues that Psychologist deals with. One of the most important skills in leadership is the ability to get along with other people. How you make others feel is very important. Relationships develop character. Who you are a year from today will be determined by what you allow in your mind and your associations during the next year. “Bad company corrupts good character,” I Corinthians 15:33. You have to have your spiritual bootstraps pulled up and the “Full Amor of God” on to hang out with corrupt people as a ministry. For whatever reason, one bad apple will destroy the whole bushel of good apples. You cannot put one good apple in a bushel of rotten apples and the bad apples turn good.

Awards for Scouts at banquet

John Cherry was nominated by adult scouting peers and received the Texoma Valley District overall Award of Merit. He is the Grayson County District Scout Commissioner . He is the top Youth Protection Safety training leader for Circle 10 Boy Scouts of America. Over 15 young men throughout Grayson county scouting units who achieved scouting's highest award of Eagle rank where recognized at banquet.

Becky Brussow was nominated by her adult scouter peers and received the Committee Member of the Year award for the Texoma Valley District 2014-2015. She serves as Troop 45 Boy Scouts Treasurer and Pack 45 Cub Scouts Cubmaster. Chris Coco and Justin Dueer were awarded Eagle Scout from Howe. Feb. 8 is Scout Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Howe. They are welcoming all scouts to wear their uniforms. The Scouts will lead the morning worship. In the Fellowship Hall, they will have hot wings, fires and desserts from 11 am to 1 pm. The event will be by donation only and all proceeds will benefit the Howe Pack 45 Cub Scouts. They've also announced "Scouting for Food", which is Feb. 7 through Feb. 14.
