Lady Cardinals stout defense too much for Lady Bulldogs

Riley Harvey led the Lady Bulldogs with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Howe's only lead of the game came Alissa Smith added 10 points and in the first few minutes of the four rebounds. Other scorers were opening period. But a late push Darci Foster and Peyton Streetman made it close as the Lady Bulldogs with four. Emily Sanders and Holly came all the way back and tied the Hawkins each added three.
Bulldogs upset; lose in Pottsboro, Thinks didn't go well for the Bulldogs all night. The Pottsboro press coverage was more than what Howe was ready for and it stymied the Bulldogs offense early going in the game. Howe dropped to 18-8 and 6-3 on the season and now find themselves in fight for playoff positioning.
Michael Kehrer added 10 points, all of which came in the second half. Nick Wilson contributed seven points including one three-pointer. Levi Mrozinski had two first period buckets, but was held scoreless the rest of the game. Sam Akins had three points; Easton Ross and Tyler Grisham.
Howe 's Griffin Underwood led the Bulldogs with 21 points. He hit two fourth period three-pointers to try and big the 'Dogs back, but Pottsboro held on to win, 59-49.
Ponder and Whitesboro, each lead the district with an 8-1 record. Howe is next at 6-3, followed by Pottsboro at 5-4. Callisburg is 2-6, Gunter is 2-7 and S&S sits at 1-6 in District 10-3A.
