SYSTEM / Electrical System STARTING START)
CIRCUIT
(KEY
SWITCH:
Forward/Reverse Lever in Neutral • When the key switch is turned to the START position, terminal B is connected to terminals ACC and C in the key switch. • Current from terminal ACC is supplied to terminal R in the starter relay 2 through fuse #9 in fuse box. • Current from terminal C in the key switch is supplied to the starter relay 1 coil through the neutral circuit in the forward/reverse lever, and to terminal S in the starter relay 2. • Therefore, starter relay 1 is excited and battery power is supplied to terminal S in the starter motor from starter relay 1. • Consequently, the relay in the starter motor is turned ON so that the starter motor rotates. • When the engine has started, the current from terminal L in the alternator stops. • One current from terminal BR in the key switch is supplied to the fuel pump through fuse #8 in fuse box so that it is operated. Another current is supplied to the engine stop solenoid holding side so that the plunger is held.
