SYSTEM / Electrical System Parking brake switch is changed into ON from OFF after engine starts
• When the parking brake switch is turned to the ON, power through terminal #4 in the parking brake switch is supplied to terminal #c in parking brake relay [1] through terminal #2 in the parking brake switch. • As parking brake relay [1] is excited, power to the parking brake solenoid valve through terminal #e in the parking brake relay [1] is stopped. • Power from terminal #a in parking brake relay [1] lights the parking brake indicator on the monitor unit. • Consequently, as the parking brake solenoid valve is not excited, the parking brake is applied.
