Operation Function of the accident data recorder (ADR) (option)
Note: Before the refuelling coupling of the filler hose is attached, check filler valve (3) for damage and contamination.
Note: Once flap (1) is opened, proximity switch (5) inhibits engine starting.
Function of the accident data recorder (ADR) (option) The accident data recorder (ADR) is a system for detecting and recording accidents and driving events, e.g. pulling away against a kerb or sudden braking. The accident data recorder (ADR) is activated automatically when the ignition is switched on.

Open flap (1), remove sealing cap (2) from filler valve (3). Note: Due to variations in how the coupling is operated, the refuelling procedure may differ from filling station to filling station. Observe the general safety precautions on-site at the filling station concerned. Once started, the refuelling process runs and ends automatically.
Note: The current system pressure of the compressed-gas reservoirs can be seen on pressure gauge (4).
Note: The accident data recorder (ADR) remains active for 3 days after the ignition has been switched off and continues to register all vehicle movements (e.g. parking collisions).
