Change the oil in the conveyor drive reducer (Fig. 66). The reducer oil should be changed after the first 500 hours of operation and ever 2500 hours afterwards. NOTICE! It is recommended that oil be at full operating temperature before draining. Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to completely drain. Clean and reinstall drain plug. Add lubricant, Spec. 100-6, as required until fluid is visible in sight glass or begins to flow from the sight glass (if removed) that is slightly below the center line of the input shaft. When filling the reducer, allow enough time for all cavities inside the reducer to fill. Install inspection cover. Fig. 66: Conveyor reducer Fill plug
