Operation____________________________________________________ PINNED ON HINGED SKIRTS (SOLID STEEL TYPE) purpose The skirts help to maintain the centering of coal on the belt and to keep coal fines and debris from becoming lodged underneath the belt which can result in belt misalignment
construction The skirts are made of welded structural grade steel with high strength pinned hinge joints.
maintenance Visually examine the skirt board for wear. Make sure that all pinned hinge joints are free to swing and that the steel hinge pins are held securely in place by either roll pins or clip pins. Replace or repair any damaged components as required.
operation Self-operating and self-adjusting.
