LUBRICATION SYSTEM – CUSTOMER SUPPLIED

Follow the procedure supplied by the manufacturer of the lubrication system inplace on this BTP. Use the information below as a general guideline only! If no central location has been specified or fabricated, then each bearing or roller must be individually greased. The bearings without any grease fittings are sealed and do not need any form of lubrication the entire life of the bearing.

The lubrication system provides a means of greasing the tail pulley and idler roller bearings found on the BTP.

Visually examine all fittings for leaks and replace as required. Grease weekly, all grease fittings on the manifold or bearing fittings using several pumps of Multipurpose EP 1 Lithium base grease.

Clear away dust, dirt and old grease from grease fittings and apply grease with a grease pump. Provide several pumps of grease to bearing or until fresh grease emerges from bearings. When finished, cover grease fitting with a smear of grease to avoid rust build up.

IMPORTANT Broken or damaged fittings can prevent grease from reaching the

bearings and severe damage may occur.
