Si bien la pandemia todavía no se ha ido del país ni del mundo, algunas actividades han logrado sortear parte de los efectos de este fenómeno, debido a que son actividades esenciales imposibles de cerrar, o de hacerlo por un tiempo prolongado. s el caso de la minería, actividad que en nuestro país ha sido incluso considerada como esencial, con lo que se mantiene activa. En el mundo moderno, es imposible entender su dinámica sin una serie de satisfactores que hacen más fácil la vida en términos de productividad, conectividad y más recientemente trabajo a distancia o teletrabajo. Para lograrlo, se requieren una serie de productos y materiales que son la base de la actividad económica y una parte importante de ellos se obtiene de la minería. Más aun, en el desarrollo económico de las últimas décadas, una serie de materiales provenientes de las entrañas de la tierra han sido determinantes para el impulso tecnológico. Podemos decir que la minería superó la pandemia en términos de su relevancia para las economías de todo el mundo, no se trata de un cumplido sino de una realidad, estamos frente a una actividad que no solo es esencial sino indispensable para que el mundo siga su camino en la era post-pandemia. Este mes de octubre en el que los mineros de México celebran su congreso, por cierto el más grande e importante de Latinoamérica y uno de los más relevantes en el mundo, es necesario decirles que su actividad es uno de los frentes económicos que deben llevar a la sociedad hacia nuevos puertos, conforme la pandemia se repliegue y nos deje libre el camino hacia un nuevo destino, en el que la minería tendrá que ser una de las grandes guías.

We can say that mining overcame the pandemic in terms of its relevance to the economies of the world, it is not a compliment but a reality, we are facing an activity that is not only essential but indispensable for the world to follow its road in the post-pandemic era. This October in which the miners of Mexico celebrate their congress, by the way the largest and most important in Latin America and one of the most relevant in the world, it is necessary to tell them that their activity is one of the economic fronts that should lead to society towards new ports, as the pandemic recedes and leaves us free the way to a new destination, in which mining will have to be one of the great guides.
