La edición XXXIV de la Convención Bianual se llevará a cabo del 19 al 22 de octubre, en el recinto Palacio Mundo Imperial de Acapulco, Guerrero.

Bajo el lema “Minería, Pilar en la Reactivación de la Economía de México”, se efectuará la Edición XXXIV de la Convención Internacional del Minería.

Sergio Almazán Esqueda, presidente de la Asociación de Ingenieros de Minas, Metalurgistas y Geólogos de México (AIMMGM), confirmó que los asistentes a la Convención podrán conocer de primera mano las estrategias, proyectos, tecnologías y conocimientos que están transformando a la industria y apoyando la rectivación económica de México.

El Ingeniero Almazán Esqueda resaltó que la industria minero-metalúrgica es un eslabón indispensable para el desarrollo económico de México. Reconoció que la pandemia interrumpió su actividad durante dos meses, pero el sector mantuvo los empleos y los apoyos a las comunidades.

“El gran reto para este año y en los siguientes años será continuar trabajando y demostrando la importancia del sector minero para la economía del país”, destacó.

International Mining Convention, present and future of the Industry

The XXXIV edition of the Biannual Convention will take place from October 19 to 22, at the Palacio Mundo Imperial in Acapulco, Guerrero.

Under the slogan “Mining, Pillar in the Reactivation of the Mexican Economy”, the XXXIV Edition of the International Mining Convention will be held.

Sergio Almazán Esqueda, president of the Association of Mining Engineers, Metallurgists and Geologists of Mexico (AIMMGM), confirmed that those attending the Convention will be able to know first-hand the strategies, projects, technologies and knowledge that are transforming the industry and supporting the economic recovery of Mexico.

Engineer Almazán Esqueda highlighted that the miningmetallurgical industry is an indispensable link for the economic development of Mexico. He acknowledged that the pandemic interrupted his activity for two months, but the sector maintained jobs and support for communities.

“The great challenge for this year and in the following years will be to continue working and demonstrating the importance of the mining sector for the country’s economy,” he stressed.

In this regard, he reiterated that the Convention will allow to expand and update the knowledge of technicians and professionals in the industry. “In order for them to be at the forefront in an interconnected world, with exemplary, responsible and sustainable mining,” he stressed.

Exemplary mining The engineer reiterated that mining is an essential industry for economic reactivation and professional development in Mexico.

“We want all Mexicans to feel proud of their country’s exemplary mining. The Convention will be a platform to show the strengths and opportunities of the Mexican mining industry ”, he remarked.

In the same way, the Engineer emphasized that the Biannual Convention will have all the prevention and safety, protection and hygiene measures, based on international tourism regulations.

“We are aware that people’s health is the most important thing. So while the Federal Government advances in the application of vaccines, we must all continue with the necessary measures to take care of ourselves and avoid infections.

Al respeto, reiteró que la Convención permitirá ampliar y actualizar los conocimientos de los técnicos y profesionistas de la industria. “Con la finalidad de que estén a la vanguardia en un mundo interconectado, con una minería ejemplar, responsable y sostenible”, resaltó.

Minería ejemplar El ingeniero reiteró que la minera es una industria esencial para la reactivación económica y el desarrollo profesional de México. “Queremos que todos los mexicanos se sientan orgullosos de la minería ejemplar de su país. La Convención será una plataforma para mostrar las fortalezas y las oportunidades de la industria minera mexicana”, remarcó. Del mismo modo, el Ingeniero enfatizó que la Convención Bianual contará con todas las medidas de prevención y seguridad, protección e higiene, basadas en las normativas turísticas internacionales. “Estamos conscientes de que la salud de las personas es lo más importante. Así que mientras el Gobierno Federal avanza en la aplicación de las vacunas, todos debemos continuar con las medidas necesarias para cuidarnos y evitar contagios.

Enfatizó que la Convención se efectuará en un ambiente de protección para todos los asociados, convencionistas, estudiantes, celebridades, organizadores, expositores, y autoridades que participarán en la máxima cumbre minera de México.

“En la minería todos nos cuidamos y cuidamos a los demás, por esa razón estamos considerando un aspecto esencial y primordial como lo es la protección de la salud de los asistentes a hoteles sede, áreas de exposición, salones y zonas interiores y exteriores. Antes, durante y después del evento preparamos y operamos estrictos protocolos de sanidad regidos por los más altos estándares turísticos internacionales”, señaló.

Logística Minera Como parte de logística del evento, se habilitarán vías ágiles y fáciles de comunicación terrestres y aéreas para acceder al destino, así como una amplia capacidad hotelera, entre otros. Todo planeado con el apoyo del gobierno del estado de Guerrero.

“En la minería todos nos cuidamos y cuidamos a los demás, por esa razón estamos considerando un aspecto esencial y primordial como lo es la protección de la salud de los asistentes a hoteles sede, áreas de exposición, Salones y zonas interiores y exteriores”, agregó el Ingeniero Almazán Esqueda.

Expertos conferencistas La Convención contará con la participación de expertos conferencistas, quienes hablarán sobre la evolución y desafíos que enfrenta la industria minera en los ámbitos nacional e internacional.

De igual manera, se llevarán a cabo conferencias técnicas y magistrales, mesas de negocios y proyectos; paneles de discusión y reuniones de organismos del sector como la CAMIMEX. Así como la Women In Mining, la Cámara de Comercio de Canadá en México y el Colegio de Ingenieros de Minas, Metalurgistas y Geólogos de México.

En el panel “Diálogo: La Minería y su Impacto en el Mundo de la Comunicación” participarán las destacadas comunicadoras y comunicadores. Yuridia Sierra, de Grupo Imagen; Enrique

Como parte del programa para acompañantes, se llevará a cabo la conferencia “Por el placer de vivir” a cargo del escritor

y conferencista, César Lozano, así como el show “Las mujeres no tenemos llenadero”, con la actriz Susana Alexander.

En el apartado de trabajos técnicos, en esta Convención se contará, una vez más, con la participación de diversos países han asistido durante las últimas ediciones. Durante la exposición de los trabajos técnicos, expertos nacionales e internacionales, presentarán los últimos avances tecnológicos sobre temas relacionados con el sector minero.

Mesas de proyectos y negocios Asimismo, en el marco de la Convención, se pondrán a disposición Mesas de Proyectos Mineros para todos los interesados en promover su prospecto minero. El jueves 21 de

Within the framework of this forum, Strategic Networking dynamics will be developed with “Business to Business” meetings and “Face to Face” activities, a space where interested parties can make their company known, arrange business meetings between mining companies and suppliers of the mining industry and schedule supplier-supplier appointments.

All of the above mentioned will be carried out with scheduled events, in the rooms that will be assigned within the Convention Center, following special Covid-19 guidelines to take care of the health of the attendees.

The AIMMGM leader said that the great challenge in 2021 and in the following years will be to continue working and demonstrating the importance of the mining sector for the country’s economy, translating it into public policies that encourage development and that continue to benefit all of Mexican society. Dentro del marco de este foro se desarrollarán dinámicas de Strategic Networking con encuentros “Business to Business” y actividades de acercamiento “Cara a Cara”, espacio en donde los interesados podrán dar a conocer a su empresa, concertar citas de negocios entre compañías mineras y proveedores de la industria minera y agendar citas proveedor con proveedor. Todo lo anterior mencionado se realizará con eventos programados, en los salones que serán asignados dentro del Centro de Convenciones, siguiendo lineamientos especiales Covid-19 para cuidar la salud de los asistentes. El dirigente de la AIMMGM dijo que el gran reto en 2021 y en los siguientes años será continuar trabajando y demostrando la importancia del sector minero para la economía del país, traducirlo en políticas públicas que incentiven el desarrollo y que sigan beneficiando a toda la sociedad mexicana.
