Housekeeping One of the biggest contributors to slips, trips, leading to falls is poor housekeeping. Within Altrad we expect that you will work in a clean & tidy manner and that you clean your work area as you go, accumulated debris is also a fire hazard. Housekeeping should remain at an excellent standard; regular audits will be carried out to ensure the high standards of housekeeping are maintained.

DO:

It is your responsibility to keep your work area tidy.

Tidy up and create space. Keep stairways and fire escape routes clear. Keep waste to a minimum and store in designated receptacles. If authorised and you are aware of the correct COSHH controls clear up any spills immediately. Ensure that tools and equipment are secured when at height

DO NOT:

Impede access ways. Leave nails in timber. Leave debris across walkways. Leave tools or equipment where it will be a hazard to others. Consume food/drink on site, except in designated areas. Discard food; this attracts rats – use bins provided. Use damaged or broken pallets.
