Introduction
Excellence Delivered
Excellence Delivered (ED) is Altrad’s Continuous Improvement initiative, ED considers the behaviours, tools and practices to help us improve each day and strives for us to get better in everything we do whether that be in the way we deliver a product or service to our customers through to the way we operate our business. We want to inspire our people, simplify what we do so we can focus on being the best we can be. It is our firmly held belief that ED sits at the heart of everything we do and by adopting the simple mantra of looking to be better tomorrow than we were today we will have a business that inspires excellence. Safety is a core value and a key component of our DNA - we know that to be truly successful, we must take personal responsibility for the health & wellbeing of ourselves and those around us, both at work and at home. Due to the nature of our work we surround ourselves and the environment in which we operate in layers of protection. We wear personal protection, perform safety assessments and look to continually improve our safe systems of works and procedures. We recognise and correct potential hazards when something is not right. The ability to not only listen but speak at the appropriate time is a vital behaviour, everyone has the authority and obligation to stop work if they believe it not to be safe.
Introduction
As an organisation we want to develop a culture built on continuous improvement and realise the three pillars of our strategy to Inspire, Simplify and Win. Our Excellence Delivered (ED) philosophy focusses on the mindset, behaviours, tools and practices that enable us to be better tomorrow than we were today. It is our firmly held belief that ED sits at the heart of everything we do and by adopting this simple mantra we will have a business that not only inspires but delivers excellence.
Better tomorrow than we were today.
In support of our ED philosophy we have our Good Better How initiative and Continuous Improvement Boards. If you have an idea no matter how big or small we want to know about. If you think something is good tell us so we can tell others. If you think we could be doing something a little better by changing a procedure or process, making an investment to simplify what we do, remove some unnecessary red tape then we want to hear about it. High performing teams recognise the value of continuous improvement and at Altrad we reward someone each month as part of our annual ED Awards for their contribution.
