Dermatitis
Signs of dermatitis can be redness, itching, scaling and blistering. If it gets worse, it can crack and bleed and can spread all over the body.
Occupational dermatitis is caused by the skin coming into contact with certain substances. If spotted early enough most people make a full recovery, but some people can be affected for life.
To protect your skin you should ALWAYS:
¡ Wear the right sort of gloves. ¡ Use a moisturising cream before and after work. ¡ Wear a face shield and coveralls if you work with
liquids, dust or fumes that can cause dermatitis and that could get onto your face or neck.
¡ Keep your skin clean. ¡ Make sure your PPE is clean and intact. ¡ Keep your workplace clean.
