About the role….
You will be working as a Service Manager (Customer Operations and Technical Support) and will lead partners and operational delivery teams to provide an outstanding customer focused maintenance and repairs service.
You will coordinate complaints from elected members, other council departments and members of the public. You will manage the diagnosis of repairs, a technical team of Building Technicians and Schedulers, and the customer repairs and reporting contact centre.
You will coordinate resolutions for high-risk cases which could include legal challenge, insurance claims, and disrepair.
You will lead, motivate, and develop teams and resources to ensure value for money whilst providing maximum customer satisfaction. Your duties will include reviewing performance data, develop systems, processes, guidance, and training, lead on the scheduling of repair works, and work with customer groups and partners to develop and deliver service improvements.

Behaviour Change Independent Domestic Violence Advisor: £23,023 - £25,280 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Devon service for a Behaviour Change Independent Domestic Violence Advisor, working with individuals who are perpetrating abuse.
This role is part of the commissioned Devon domestic abuse support service, which provides a whole family approach to preventing domestic abuse and improving the quality of the lives of the families we work with.
The post holder will work as part of a multi-agency team, working closely with co-workers (e.g. the Children’s Team) and engaging regularly with the Police-led Domestic Abuse Integrated Offender Management team, to ensure that clients who use abusive behaviour are supported through every stage of the process of change.
Please note this role is on a fixed term contract to 30th September 2023, with strong prospects of becoming a permanent role.
Interpersonal Trauma Service
The aim of the Interpersonal Trauma Service is to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of people who have been exposed to trauma arising from sexual violence and abuse and/or domestic abuse. You will receive training in both the delivery of training to surgery staff and the provision of support to those who have experienced interpersonal trauma.
Following a successful trial in several surgeries, this service is now being rolled out across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay. This is a very exciting opportunity to take ownership and be part of an innovative new service, delivering real improvements to the local community.
• Trauma Advocate Educator: £22,247 - £23,831 per annum – working across a number of GP practices, offering support to health professionals working with people who have experienced interpersonal trauma arising from sexual violence and/or domestic abuse. You will provide training to GP surgeries and specialist advocacy and support to patients.
• Children and Young Persons Specialist: £22,247 - £23,831 per annum – in this role, you will hold a generalist caseload but have an increased focus on working with children and young people as required. You will have additional knowledge and expertise working with this client group, with the ability to disseminate this knowledge amongst the team.
• Intersectionality Specialist: £23,023 - £24,665 per annum – this role will involve an increased focus on working with those who have faced barriers to service and who organisations have previously found it difficult to reach, working to ensure the whole population receives an appropriate service.

Fire Testing Technician
Job Location: DUL House, Barfrestone, Kent
Job Purpose: To perform fire resistance tests on various products in accordance with relevant BS, EN, and ISO standards, using various fire furnaces.
MAIN DUTIES
• Receiving and checking the customers product(s) to be fire tested, ensuring it meets the requirements and is suitable for fire testing on the various fire testing rigs.
• Setting up the fire computer software on the fire testing rig, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly, prior to testing.
• Carry out fire tests on various products, adhering to BS, EN, or ISO standards, and to the customers’ requirements. This includes entering data on worksheets.
• Collate all fire testing data so that it can then be used in a customer fire test report.
• Maintain the fire testing rigs and associated software and report any errors or malfunctions to the manager.
• During slack periods, assisting with any office duties that the manager may require.
Position ideal for someone who has worked in a Fire Test Laboratory before.
Person to have some engineering background and good at Mathematics.
