Chula Art Park: Virtual Guide

ชื่อผลงาน – สะพานอ่อน Title – Saphan On ศิลปิน – อาจารย์ ดร.พิชัย ตุรงคินานนท์ สังกัด ภาควิชาทัศนศิลป์ คณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย แนวคิด ศิลปินเจ้าของผลงานมีความสนใจพื้นที่บริเวณที่ตั้งของอุทยาน 100 ปี จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ที่เรียกว่า “แยกสะพานอ่อน” ซึ่งแต่เดิมเป็น พื้นที่มีล�ำคลองเชื่อมผ่านอยู่มากมาย เป็นพื้นที่ชุมชนที่มีพัฒนาการและการเปลี่ยนแปลงมาโดยตลอดช่วงกว่า 100 ปีที่ผ่านมา นอกจากนี้ “สะพานอ่อน” ยังเป็นชื่อของสะพานที่เคยตั้งอยู่ในบริเวณนี้ แต่ได้เปลี่ยนแปลงไปกลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของถนนบรรทัดทอง คงเหลือไว้แต่ชื่อ ที่น�ำมาเป็นชื่อผลงานสร้างสรรค์นี้ ซึ่งได้ใช้รูปแบบของสะพานในการสื่อถึงการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างอดีตปัจจุบันและการเปลี่ยนแปลง นอกจากนี้ยังมีการใช้แสงไฟที่มีการเคลื่อนไหวภายในผลงาน เพื่อต้องจะสื่อถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงของพื้นที่และชุมชนแห่งนี้ มีการใช้เทคนิคสื่ิอผสม วัสดุสมัยใหม่ ในรูปแบบของศิลปะแบบมินิมอลอาร์ท (Minimal Art) ในการสร้างสรรค์ Artist – Dr. Pichai Turongkinanon Affiliation Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University Concept This light sculpture project is inspired by an interesting area in Chulalongkorn University's Centenary Park called Yaek Saphan On, which was originally home to various connecting canals and a community. The area has seen significant changes and development during the past 100 years. Saphan On is the name of a bridge once located in the area but now replaced by Banthat Thong Road. Accordingly, this artwork has used the name and the bridge function to show the link between past and present. Movable lights signify the changes of the area and the communities, and mixed media techniques and modern materials in minimalist style are also used.
