หนังสือเล่มนี้เป็นคู่มือในการเยี่ยมชมสวนศิลป์จุฬาฯ โดยใช้เทคโนโลยี AR, VR และ QR Code ประกอบ ผู้อ่านสามารถเยี่ยมชมสวนศิลป์จุฬาฯ ได้ในแผนที่เสมือนและรับชมวีดิทัศน์ศิลปินบรรยายประกอบได้โดยใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือ สวนศิลป์จุฬาฯ เกิดขึ้นจากความร่วมมือของเครือข่ายสมาชิก สภาคณบดีศิลปะและการออกแบบแห่งประเทศไทย เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของงานวิจัย “โครงการการใช้ศิลปกรรมและการออกแบบเพื่อพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจ และคุณภาพชีวิตชุมชนสามย่าน - สวนหลวง อย่างยั่งยืน”

สวนศิลป์จุฬาฯ ประกอบด้วยงานประติมากรรม 15 ชิ้น ที่สร้างขึ้นเพื่อสะท้อนวิถีชีวิตของชุมชนสามย่าน - สวนหลวง ซึ่งเป็นชุมชนเก่าแก่ อยู่ในบริเวณพื้นที่ในความรับผิดชอบของส�านักงานจัดการทรัพย์สินจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย มีการใช้เทคโนโลยี Augmented Reality แสดงให้ เห็นถึงความเป็นมา แรงบันดาลใจ และวิธีการสร้างงานของศิลปินในรูปแบบวีดิทัศน์ 4 ภาษา ได้แก่ ภาษาไทย อังกฤษ ญี่ปุ่น และจีน ซึ่งผู้เข้าชม สามารถเข้าถึงข้อมูลดังกล่าวได้เพียงสแกน QR Code ที่อยู่บริเวณประติมากรรมแต่ละชิ้น สามารถเข้าชมได้ทั้งในเวลากลางวันและกลางคืน เป็นการสร้างความจรรโลงใจให้กับคนในชุมชน และผู้ที่เข้ามาเยี่ยมเยียน อีกทั้งยังช่วยยกระดับเศรษฐกิจของชุมชนที่อยู่บริเวณโดยรอบ เป็นการสร้างพื้นที่ปลอดภัยในยามค�่าคืนให้ผู้ที่ว่างจากภารกิจการงานได้เข้ามาเยี่ยมชม และเสพงานศิลป์ที่มีแสงสว่างสวยงามพร้อมทั้ง สามารถรับประทานอาหารในร้านอาหารที่มีชื่่อเสียงบริเวณใกล้เคียง

Foreword by the Chair of the Council of Arts and Design Deans of Thailand

This Chula Art Park Virtual Guide book provides an overview of the sculptures and also links to enter a virtual online exhibition viewable from any corner of the world. Chula Art Park consists of 15 sculptures created through the cooperation of Council of Arts and Design Deans of Thailand. The objectives of this innovative inaugural research project feature the use of art and design to enhance both the economy and quality of life of locals in the Samyan - Suan Luang community. The aim is edifying the community and its visitors about its history and to improve the local economy through increased visitor traffic. The installations are viewable 24/7 and feature solar powered integrated lighting for nighttime visitors. This park also aims to create a relaxing and attractive “decompression” space at night for locals and tourists with many famous restaurants to explore nearby.

The 15 sculptures themselves are augmented with QR codes that leads the viewers to watch video of artist covering the history, methods used in the art work’s creation and concepts inspiration in the following 4 languages: English, Thai, Japanese & Chinese.

As chair of this project, I would like to thank Program Management Unit for Area based Development (PMU-A) of Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation for their funding and the donations from the Blue Solar Co., Ltd. for green solar cell lighting and the Siam lot Co., Ltd. for the area’s air quality PM 2.5 sensors. Moreover, I am very grateful to Chulalongkorn University’s Office of Property Management (PMCU) which provided the space for these sculptures and facilitated their installation without which this project would have been impossible.
