The Development of Virtual Museum to Enhance Learning Efficiency and User Experience for Thai National Museum:
Changes occur all the time, in the past we believed that only faith or religion could change the world. Today, we realize that digital technology has a this potential, but it also causes a significant disruption in our lives and learning behaviors, especially in the age of digital museum. The disruption for museum designer is applying design theory to meet digital generation demands.
The objective of this paper is to study current virtual museum design and related theories, to create design guidelines and evaluate virtual museum design. This dissertation used mixed method process utilizing statistics accumulated from interview with open ended questions. Looking at areas such as forms of virtual museums, principles of design to satisfaction of visitors. In addition, qualitative investigation of 25 current virtual museums and their best practices were evaluated.
