Tools & Equipment Thefollowing tools and equipment will be required to performthe cylinder cycletimetest: 1. Stopwatch. 2. Thermometer to read Hydraulic Oil temperature. MachineSettings & Site Conditions 1. Machine throttle in "High"idle position. 2. Hydraulicoil temperatureat 45°Cto 55°C (113°Fto 131°F). 3. Firm, level testingsite. 4. Verify that engineRPM’s are correct to specifications.

C. Boom Cylinder Cycle TimeTest 1. Movethe machine to a firm, level testing area. 2. Placethe machinethrottle control to "HIGH" idle and the KPSSWorkModeSwitch to "H" Mode.SeeFigure 3.1 NOTE The SK115and SK130machinesdo not have the KPSS WorkMode Switch. Performthe test in the High Idle positiononly. 3. 4. 5. 6.
Fully extendthe BucketCylinder. SeeFigure3.2. Fully retract the ArmCylinder. SeeFigure3.2. LowerBoom until bucket rests on the ground. RaiseBoom (extendingthe cylinders) at full stroke of the control andmeasure the time for the boomcylinder to reachthe cushionstroke. Recordthe time. SeeFigure 3.3. 7. Lowerthe boom (retracting cylinders)at full stroke andmeasure the time for the bucketto reachgroundlevel. Recordthe time. SeeFigure 3.3. 8. Repeatsteps 5 and 6 two moretimes and record the stopwatchreadings.Average the readings and comparethe averageto the BoomCylinder CycleTimeSpecification Chart.
