2.2MAIN PILOT CIRCUIT

A. Main Pilot Relief Valve Pressure Measurement Procedures

1, Perform machine preparation procedures as described in 2.1 MACHINE PREPARATION. 2. Start engine and place throttle control in HiIdle position. See Figure 2.5. 3, Place KPSS Mode Switch in "H"-Mode. See Figure 2.5. 4. Do not operate any controls. Then read the pressure gauge. Record reading and compare to chart for specific model being tested on pages 2-15 through 2-22.

B. Main Pilot Relief Valve Adjustment Procedures

1. Locate the Main Pilot Relief Valve mounted to the side of the Hydraulic Oil Tank in the Manifold Assembly. See Figure 2.6. 2. Remove protective cap. See Figure 2.7. Loosen the adjusting screw Iocknut. See Figure 2.8. 3. Adjust until specified pressure according to proper chart for specific machine being adjusted is achieved. ’

NOTE 1 Complete Turn Adjusts Pressure Approximately: 14.4kg/cm 2 (200 psi) I/4 Turn Adjusts Pressure Approximately: 3.6kg/cm 2 (51.2 psi)

4. After correct pressure is obtained, tighten adjusting screw Iocknut, being careful not to overtighten. See Figure 2.8. 5. Install protective cap and tighten. Be careful not to overtighten cap. See Figure 2.7. 6. Verify pressure after tightening Iocknut and cap.
