ED180 OPERATION AND CONTROLS 6, DOZERBLADE CONTROLSWITCH
Left Tilt Pull the DozerBladejoystick to the left (side motion) to lower the left blade corner. Releasethe joystick. Thejoystick will return to the HOLD position.
TheDozerblade control switchis located on the left side control console.This switchis a twoposition rocker switch, andis usedto turn "ON" or "OFF"the DozerBlade function. Depress this side of the switchto turn "ON"the DozerBlade function. Depress this side of the switchto turn "OFF"the DozerBlade function. NOTE It is necessarythat the DozerControl Switch be kept in the "OFF"position during excavatingfunctions for proper machineperformance. 7. DOZER BLADE CONTROLS FIGURE2.26a & 2.26b TheDozerBaldecontrol is a single joystick locatedon the right side consolenext to the Boom/ Bucketjoystick. a. Float Depressthe thumb-buttonin the Dozerblade control joystick to makethe blade float. Depress it again to restore normalblade function. If the blade raise and lower functions are not responding,depressthe button once moreto reset. b. Lower Pushthe Dozer Blade joystick forward to lower the blade. Releasethe joystick. The joystick will return to the HOLD position. C. Hold TheDozerBlade joystick will return to the HOLD positon, whenthe joystick is released from either the Loweror Raisepostion. d. Raise Pull the Dozer Blade joystick backwardto raise the blade. Releasethe joystick. The joystick will return to the HOLD position. e, RightTilt Pushthe Dozerblade joystick to the right (side motion)to lowerthe right bladecorner. Releasethe joystick. Thejoystick will return to the HOLD position. Hold The Dozer Blade joystick returns to the HOLD postion whenthe joystick is realsed. Themovement of the blade will stop.

AngleLeft A rockerswitch located on the front side of the Dozerblade joystick controls blade angling. Depressthe left side of the rocker switch to retract the left end of the Dozer Bladetowardsthe left track. Angle Right A rocker switch located on the front side of the DozerBladejoystick controls blade angling. Depressthe right side of the rocker switch to retract the right end of the Dozer Bladetowardsthe right track.
