Operating the Machine GUIDELINES FOR USE 1. Use recommended size tractor. 2. Decrease the gang angle to zero at which point the gangs will roll on top of the ground before making turns. Wheels are used for transport purposes only. 3. The harrow will plow most level with the front and rear gangs if the disk drawbar is level with the tractor drawbar when the harrow is in the ground in the plowing position. 4. Be sure tractor and machine has been properly prepared. (See PREPARING THE TRACTOR and PREPARING THE DISK sections.) TIGHTEN HARDWARE After the first day of operation, check all hardware and gang bolts. Tighten as needed. (See the MAINTENANCE section). OPERATING SPEED The harrow should be operated between 4 and 6 mph. Reduce speed in rocky, rough or other unsafe conditions.
