Checking Transport C Ontrol Operation
1. Place tractor transmission in “park” and/or set brakes, then start engine and pull back on No. 1 SCV lever until transport cylinders are fully extended. Note: If the disk starts to open into the plowing position, instead of raising the transport assemblies, the diverter valve is in the wrong position. Close the harrow and insert the transport locking pin, then move the diverter valve lever to the TRANSPORT CONTROL position for operation of the transport cylinders.

Important: Remove transport locks from the cylinder rods to avoid machine damage. Always remove the left rear transport lock before removing the right rear transport lock, then remove front transport lock.
2. Remove transport locks and place in the field positions (See illustration below right).
3. Slowly move No. 1 tractor SCV lever back and forth several times while observing smooth operation of disk. The disk should raise when the lever is pulled back and lower when the lever is pushed forward. If action is reversed, reverse the hose connections in the No. 1 hydraulic quick coupler. If harrow does not raise smoothly indicating that there is air in the system, raise and lower disk several times.

Checking Leveling Adjustment
Note: The disk may need readjusting when using a tractor with a different drawbar height.
The function of the small cylinder connecting the front frame to the leveler is to level the harrow relative to the height of the tractor drawbar during transport. Use the adjusting bolt to stop the cylinder pivot (with fully extended cylinder rod) in a position which allows it to reach the tractor drawbar with the plunger when the harrow is lifted up and the frame is parallel with ground level. When the bolt is adjusted to the drawbar height of the tractor, it must be locked by tightening the jam nut on the rear side of the bracket. The system is designed in such a way (using different tractors) that the stop must be adjusted only once. If the harrow is in the working position with the cylinder rod fully retracted, there will always be enough free movement for the cylinder pivot to guarantee good flotation of the harrow.
