OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 6015 / RH40E Inspection and servicing Bypass valves (cooling circuit) Read and observe the "Inspection and servicing – Safety instructions" chapter.
Cleaning the valve Remove cover (7, Fig. 3-59:). Unscrew screws (33, Fig. 3-60:) and withdraw valve carrier (31) together with valve (32).
Shut off the engine.
Clean valve (32) in white spirit or paraffin oil and replace, if required.
Risk of scalding caused by hot hydraulic oil.
Insert valve (32) into valve carrier (31).
The hydraulic oil reservoir itself may also be hot.
Fasten valve carrier (31) with screws (33) in the hydraulic oil reservoir. Refit cover (7, Fig. 8) with a new sealing ring.
Avoid skin contact. Skin contact with hydraulic oil may cause skin injury. Wear protective gloves and firm working clothing. Wear fall arresters before working on the hydraulic tank. Collect escaping hydraulic oil and discard without polluting the environment.

Changing the valve Remove bypass valve as described under "Cleaning the valve". Remove valve (32, Fig. 3-60:) and replace by a new one. Fasten bypass valve (31) on the hydraulic oil reservoir. Refit cover (7, Fig. 3-59:).
