Cleaning the fuel tank
The fuel tank is vented with a breather valve (4, Fig. 3-36:).
Risk of explosion Read and observe the "Inspection and servicing. Safety instructions" chapter.
Clean breather valve regularly. Remove breather valve, flush with paraffin oil and blow clean with compressed air.
Do not use white spirit, paraffin oil or other solvents. For cleaning and flushing use diesel fuel. Avoid skin contact. Skin contact with diesel fuel can be a health risk. Wear firm working clothing. Wear protective gloves or use a barrier cream. Do not let fuel penetrate into the soil. Keep for re-use or discard without polluting the environment.
