faces for cracks, step wear, impact damage and signs of battering. Inspect the park pawl pivot bore for burrs, nicks, scoring and out-ofround. Replace the park pawl if any damage is detected. B. Inspect the park pawl support pin for burrs, nicks, scoring and grooves. Replace the pin if it doesn’t fit securely in the rear cover or main housing or if it has damage which cannot be repaired using a soft stone or crocus cloth.
