his is the will of God for humanity (man). It is God’s will that every man cleaves to his wife through marriage. So what is divorce? It is the dissolving of this marriage covenant between a husband and wife. It is the broken dream, broken vision, and it is against the purpose of God for marriage. It is the death of a relationship; It is often the most traumatic experience in the life of a woman; whether you separate amicably or with hatred in both hearts. Divorce is associated with disappointment, a deep sense of rejection, rage, anger, bitterness, depression, regret, discouragement, emotional chaos, anxiety, unforgiveness and fear of the future. It is hope dashed and dreams shattered. Divorce is a battle zone especially when children are involved, it brings you to a place of emotional overhead, gemwoman | November/December 2007
