BOLLARDS OFFER ENHANCED PERIMETER SECURITY

There has been a growing shift in the importance of security, not just inside commercial spaces but outside as well. Both public and private facilities are seeking more secure ways to protect their property and people from accidents as well as planned attacks, whether by intentional vehicle ramming or those including vehicle borne explosives. Retractable bollards provide an added level of safety and security for buildings, infrastructure, and pedestrians. When used as access-control measures, retractable bollards allow pedestrian traffic to move through, while permitting vehicle access-control and are strategically placed to control, direct and/or obstruct vehicular traffic on impact. Bollards can be permanent, removable, or retractable, to be deployed when needed. Nasatka Security, a world leader in versatile security solutions, supplies crash rated bollards including DOS and ASTM certified ratings amongst custom engineered solutions that are built to last. Nasatka Security architectural bollard designs bring environmental and aesthetic enhancements to any site, securing perimeter and access-control points without providing a sense of social disorder and active alarm measures. Nasatka bollard solutions stop unwarranted vehicle access and enable bi-directional stopping power. These bollards provide perimeter security access either as a stand-alone system or integrated with advanced access control technologies. According to the company, they are the first barrier manufacturer to offer two unique types of automated-hydraulic barrier systems and include hot-dip galvanization steel as a standard feature, which extends the durability of the bollard system. Nasatka’s bollard solutions include: Automated Hydraulic Bollards: Traditionally a three-bollard system is required to secure an access width of 12 – 16 feet. The security professionals at Nasatka are equipped to provide versatile configurations to suit any access-control plan. Properly maintained, these hydraulic bollards may be continuously operated for maximum access control conditions requiring deployment of the system after each vehicle’s entry or exit.

Manual Retractable Bollards: Nasatka can provide operating systems based on the customers’ needs beyond that of the standard hydraulic operablebased system. The manual bollard overall structural design is the same as the automated version. Removable Bollards: This system restricts vehicle access as threat levels require, permitting security for occasional and emergency access. Removable bollards require less foundation depth and various methods of removal are available. Permanent Bollards: This option provides fixed perimeter protection when vehicle access is not a requirement. These are often installed as part of a complete system integrated with hydraulic or manual vehicle access control barrier systems. Featuring modern design in security planters, decorative benches, and more, these bollard options provide aesthetic solutions for crash-rated perimeter protection. Custom Bollards: Custom rate and non-rated bollards are available in various external covers, including plastic coverings, powder coat colors, decorative aluminum casts, and machined or polished stainless steel. The security professionals at Nasatka Security recommend bollards be considered wherever perimeter security and safe environments are priority.
