American Fence Association Announces Executive Director

American Fence Association has selected Michael Reed as its next executive director. Reed succeeds Tony Thornton who retired in March after nearly eight years leading the organization.

Reed has spent the past eight years as a founding partner ta BlochReed Association Advisors. He served as a trusted partner to industry leaders committed to bringing people together and generating measurable impact. Reed conducted comprehensive organizational assessments, strategic planning, and facilitated growth-oriented discussions with leaders from a variety of industries. He provided expert advice and spoke publicly on governance issues, leadership development and organizational culture. Prior to founding BlochReed, he was with The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals for nine years where he provided executive leadership for the organization’s workforce development, certification, and HR functions.

Controlled Products Systems Group Welcomes New Sales and Marketing Director

Controlled Products Group, a leading nationwide distributor of perimeter access control products, recently announced that Frank Qualtier has joined its team as director of sales and marketing. In this role, Qualtier will lead CPSG’s sales and marketing teams nationwide and be responsible for expanding the company’s business, brand building, and the development and execution of the company’s go-tomarket strategy.

Miller Edge Welcomes New Manufacturing and Supply Chain Manager

Miller Edge, a manufacturer of safety accessories for automated gate and motorized commercial door systems, welcomes Doug Larsen as the new marketing and supply chain manager. Larsen brings a reputable background and extensive experience in manufacturing and industrial distribution to Miller Edge, finding his industry passion after serving in the United States Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot.

After receiving an honorable discharge in 1993, Larsen began his career in operation management with specialties in fabrications and inventory administration. His prior experience includes production and material control manager at Sikorsky Aircraft in Coatesville, Pennsylvania and sales team leader at Grainger in Frazer, Pennsylvania.

Larsen shares that the family-like atmosphere and technical challenges of Miller’s Edge product line is what inspired him to apply for the position. “I’ve worked in and around hangars for many years. I am eager to contribute to the safety of hangar doors and other products to ensure our customers are always working in a safe environment,” he explains.
