Cada cuatro de julio, el Paul Silverstein Burn Center en INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center recibe pacientes de accidentes de fuegos artificiales personales. Christopher Lentz, M.D., no quiere que usted sea uno de ellos! Si eliges disparar tus propios fuegos artificiales, nunca puedes tener demasiado cuidado. Por favor, tenga en cuenta lo siguiente.

Usa un punk más largo y de combustión más lenta. • Encienda solo un fuego artificial a la vez. • Nunca vuelva a encender un fuego artificial "dud". • Nunca lance ni apunte fuegos artificiales a otras

Use a longer, slower-burning punk. • Light only one firework at a time. • Never relight a "dud" firework. • Never throw or point fireworks at other people. • Never carry fireworks in your pocket. • Keep a bucket of water in case of a malfunction or fire. • Dispose of fireworks properly by soaking them in water and then disposing of them in your trashcan.
