My recommended daily allowance suggests I now go sit in the corner and think about my choices. The next ten hours stretch out before me like an ocean of weak herbal tea studded with lemon wedges. I will accept this, (not quite as greedily as I accepted that cheeseburger and fries) but stoically and with head held high I accept the consequences. I knew what I was doing. I knew it would be my last meal of the day. I savored every bite treasured every swallow— it was better than ten thousand celery sticks.
