Pulling

In pottery class as I struggle to center my clay (centering is hard) Stacey asks what I'm making. A tall slender vessel, I snarl, smacking and bullying the clay.

Later we will discuss which is the lowest form of pottery: is it the humble salsa bowl or the cat food dish?

I watch another bowl spin on my wheel refusing to be tall or slender maybe I can fill this one with ice cream.
