Too Many Confessions Are Not Good Either
The act of starting a diet contains within it the confession that you are overweight. “Sorry, I’m dieting,” you whisper with a hand out to stop the food being pushed on you and you whisper it but the room echoes as if you shouted.
Diligently writing down every single thing you eat contains the confession that you don’t pay attention. Sometimes I write things down before I even eat them just to see how they will play out. It doesn’t stop me but it feels proactive.

Weighing your food is the confession that you lie. What matters one gram when we are all going to die eventually? It doesn’t matter at all write down what the kitchen scale says.
Weighing yourself is the confession that you can’t see yourself. I step on the platform but the number it shows is just one arbitrary axis. I am immeasurable.
