Pump Stations at Nyngan, Hermidale and the Cobar Water Storages will also be replaced. The existing pipelines run from the Bogan River Weir pool, just south of the town of Nyngan, through Hermidale, towards the town of Cobar through ~130 km of dual pipelines. The first 30 km of pipeline from the Nyngan Pump Station was replaced previously and is not included in this project. The Project seeks to increase water security for consumers, including townships and mining companies, who rely on pipeline operations, and to provide additional capacity for continued growth in the region.
