This programme provides educational, practical and personal skills to maximise independence at home, in the community and at work. The programme will assist the learner to achieve a nationally recognised qualification, which will aid progression to further training/ education or employment. What will I study? Learners will have the opportunity to choose between a number of subjects including: • Communications •Computer Literacy • Internet Skills •Work Experience • Breakfast Cookery •Caring for Children • Health and Safety Awareness • Art and Design • Application of Number • Wood Work • Manual Arc Welding What will I study? On successful completion of the course, learners will have the opportunity to progress on to a QQI Level 4 or VTCT Level 2 programme in Tullamore CTC. Courses include Barbering, Hair & Beauty, Engineering & Woodcraft, Childcare and Hospitality & Professional Cookery.
Entry Requirements Early school leavers aged primarily from 16 to 21 years. All applicants are subject to a trial period, interview and an online assessment.
