This course is designed to provide learners with a variety of practical skills in the areas of engineering, woodcraft, mechanics, construction, and design; whilst also having the opportunity to work on their functional skills such and Maths and IT.

This course is suitable for learners hoping to progress to a Traineeship or Apprenticeship.

Progression Options On successful completion of the course learners can apply to a variety of QQI Level 5 Traineeships. They can also apply to Apprenticeships in relevant areas. Learners will be eligible to apply to a variety of QQI Level 5 programmes across LOETB and FET Centres nationally.

This course also equips learners with the basic skills to gain employment. Entry Requirements Junior Certificate or QQI Level 3, or equivalent standard of education. All applicants are subject to a trial period, interview and an online assessment.
