This course provides introductory training to those interested in going on to work in the Childcare and Health Care Sectors. It aims to equip the learner with the skills and knowledge required to work in a professional and safe manner with children. An emphasis is placed upon completing practical work experience in a Care Setting.

Progression Options On successful completion of the course, learners can apply to a variety of Level 5 courses in the areas of Social Care, Pre-Nursing, Health Care and Special Needs Education. Entry Requirements Junior Certificate or QQI L.3, or equivalent standard of education. All applicants are subject to a trial period, interview and an online assessment.
