This full-time one-year programme provides a recognised qualification for healthcare workers currently in employment, as well as those seeking to work in this sector. This award is one of the Department of Health’s recommended qualifications for Healthcare Assistants working in the public and private sector.

Graduates can progress to employment as support workers, healthcare assistants in public or private sector nursing homes, hospitals, agencies and community care facilities. In addition, graduates may apply through CAO to a range of higher certificate and degree programmes to both Universities and Institutes of Technology.

Entry Requirements Leaving Certificate or QQI Level 4, or equivalent standard of education. All applicants are subject to an interview and an online assessment. All applicants will be subject to Garda Vetting.
