In my pursuit of questioning how to best use my position to support the students, staff and friendly faces of the Korowa community, I realised I hoped first and foremost to achieve a harmonious unity, in which everyone can be confident their voices will be heard and acknowledged in the ever-continuous process of changing our School for the better.
Korowa is a place where lifelong skills and friendships are formed. After such a tough year last year, spent predominantly off School grounds, my focus for 2022 is on bringing joy and enthusiasm back to the Korowa community.
How to make these visions come to life though? I’d like to describe myself as a person who stands up for her moral code and has infinitely as many ideals and passions as she has unfinished book series. As such, I believe inspiring student-led compassion and innovation will be our way to conquering the exciting year ahead. Especially in light of the past two years, encouraging my cohort to lead progressive lifestyles in which they constantly seek to understand the needs of others around them has become a main focus of mine. In my role as a 2022 School Captain, I will strive to invigorate the endless passions of our School’s students, continuously learn from any mistakes I might make and lead by diligent example.

I believe it’s important for us as a School to celebrate and empower our students and I am hoping to facilitate this in my role. I will throw myself into creating a vibrant School culture that’s full of energy and fun, with a focus on connection within and between year levels. With my passion for activities and energetic involvement in the Sport and Music departments, I am hoping I can be a friendly face who everyone feels comfortable approaching and chatting to about any concerns or ideas they may have. Ultimately, my goal as a School Captain is to inspire optimism and hope, and make 2022 a year to remember.
