Korowa Foundation

The start of a new year brings renewed optimism that we can put the challenges of the past two years behind us. One constant has been the support of the Korowa community for the School and the Foundation. As a result of Annual Giving 2021, where our focus was on the creation of a dedicated Ceramics Studio, I am pleased to report to our donors that the brief for this has been submitted and the necessary works will take place in the Semester 1 holidays. This will add an extra dimension to our Visual Arts program. Thank you to those parents, staff and my fellow Korovians for their support.

Following a request from the School, the Foundation was delighted to approve the funding of a dedicated Science/ STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) room for the Junior School. This will considerably enhance this important aspect of the curriculum in the Junior School from Prep to Year 6 and is a key differentiator for Korowa in comparison to other primary schools. This has been made possible by the generosity of our donors in the voluntary contributions to the Building Fund and the prudent investment strategy of the Foundation.

I, and my fellow Directors, feel privileged to be able to assist the School in providing opportunities for the students of Korowa to extend their educational horizons.
